This cookie policy explains how DrinkHoldr uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) on drinkholdr.com. It applies to all language versions of the website. Where this policy refers to "cookies", this also covers comparable techniques that store or read information in your browser.

When you first visit our website, we ask for your consent through a cookie banner. Functional cookies are always active because the website cannot work properly without them. Statistics and marketing cookies are only placed after you have given consent, and you can withdraw or change that consent at any time (see the last section).

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies allow the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as your chosen language or the contents of your cart) for a period of time. Local storage is a similar technique that keeps small pieces of data in your browser; we use it for a few interface preferences.

Which categories do we use?

  • Functional (always active) Necessary for the website to work, including remembering your cookie preferences, your language and your shopping cart. No consent is required for these.

  • Statistics (only after consent) We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, in an as-anonymous-as-possible way. In addition, we keep our own cookieless, anonymous counters that only record how often certain actions happen (for example how often the configurator is started), without storing any personal data.

  • Marketing (only after consent) We use the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram), the TikTok pixel and Google tags to measure the effectiveness of advertising and to show relevant ads on social media. These are only activated after your consent.

The tables below list the cookies and local-storage items we use, grouped by category, with their purpose and retention period. Third parties may set additional cookies once you consent to statistics or marketing; the exact names and durations of those third-party cookies are managed by the respective providers and may change over time.

Functional (always active)

  • cmplz_banner-status Remembers that you have dismissed the cookie banner. Retention: 365 days.

  • cmplz_functional, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_marketing, cmplz_preferences Store your consent choice per category (allow or deny). Retention: 365 days.

  • cmplz_policy_id Records the version of the cookie policy you consented to, so we can ask again if the policy changes. Retention: 365 days.

  • cmplz_consented_services Stores per-service consent choices. Retention: 365 days.

  • pll_language Remembers your chosen website language (Polylang). Retention: 12 months.

  • woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_* Keep track of your shopping cart and session so your order is remembered while you shop. Retention: session to 48 hours.

  • Local storage (dh-taalsug-*, dh-prefill) Remember whether you dismissed the language-suggestion bar and, temporarily, a configurator selection you carried to the quote form. Retention: until you clear your browser storage.

Statistics (only after consent)

  • _ga, _ga_WD806M4TSS Google Analytics: distinguish visitors and sessions to compile aggregated usage statistics. Retention: up to 2 years.

  • Our own anonymous counters Server-side day totals per action, page and language. These do not use a cookie and store no personal data (no IP address, no visitor identifier). Retention: kept as aggregated totals.

Marketing (only after consent)

  • _fbp Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel: identify browsers for advertising and measurement. Retention: up to 3 months.

  • _ttp TikTok pixel: measure advertising effectiveness. Retention: up to 13 months.

  • Google marketing tags Support advertising measurement when Google Tag Manager or Google Ads is enabled. Retention: varies per Google service.

Transfers outside the EU

Google, Meta and TikTok are companies based in the United States. If you consent to statistics or marketing cookies, data may be transferred to the United States. These parties provide appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Click the button below; the cookie banner will reopen and you can adjust your choice. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Note that blocking functional cookies may prevent parts of the website from working correctly.
